Hippies, Thugs and Heroes
Richard Thompson
October 16, 2026
Richard Thompson's twentieth studio album gathers 12 character-driven songs about old friends, dubious gurus and imagined lives. He and James Frazee produced the sessions at Hobosound Studio in New Jersey, recording the band live with few takes. Bass, drums, guitar, fiddle and Zara Phillips' backing vocals support Thompson's storytelling.
