Gears of War: E-Day and Star Wars: Galactic Racer launch Tuesday. Carrie follows on Wednesday, with albums from Troye Sivan and Greta Van Fleet due Friday.
Gears of War: E-Day
The Coalition’s prequel follows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago during the Locust invasion, 14 years before the original Gears of War. The campaign covers three days in the city of Kalona, with four-player online co-op and two-player split-screen on console. Its multiplayer modes include 12-player Horde Siege and four-versus-four Versus.
General release: Tuesday, October 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, including Steam. Premium Edition early access began October 1.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer
Fuse Games’ racer follows Shade, a newcomer challenging Galactic League champion Kestar Bool. Between runs, mechanic Hibi fits new vehicle parts earned on the circuit or bought at her workshop. Some perks and unlocks carry into subsequent attempts. The game includes a single-player campaign and multiplayer podracing.
Tuesday, October 6 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Troye Sivan — She’s the Best
Sivan’s fourth studio album follows Something to Give Each Other (2023). The title track was produced by George Daniel, Jack Antonoff, Styalz Fuego and Sivan. Its music video, directed by Gordon von Steiner, features Nicole Kidman.

Greta Van Fleet — Palace for the People
The band recorded the album in Tennessee during spring 2026, co-producing it with Mike Elizondo. Its 13 tracks include “Play Your Games,” “Saw You Stand” and “Tear It Down.” The Republic Records release follows Starcatcher (2023).

The Social Reckoning
Aaron Sorkin writes and directs this drama about Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen and Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz. Mikey Madison plays Haugen and Jeremy Allen White plays Horwitz. Sony describes the film as a companion to The Social Network, following their effort to expose information held inside Facebook.

Carrie
Mike Flanagan’s eight-episode adaptation of Stephen King’s novel stars Summer H. Howell as Carrie White and Samantha Sloyan as her mother, Margaret. Carrie enters public high school after her father’s death, facing online bullying as her telekinetic powers emerge. Flanagan writes and runs the series, directs four episodes, and executive produces alongside King.
All eight episodes arrive Wednesday, October 7 on Prime Video.

Ali Hazelwood — Bound and Unbound
Hazelwood’s two paranormal romance novellas appear together in print and ebook. Bound follows art forger Vero Mercer and professor Viktor Ashworth; Unbound centers on the ancient revenant Lilit and ER doctor Roman Martin. The print edition binds the stories back to back: turning the book over starts the second novella.

Star Wars: Unlimited — Homeworlds
Homeworlds is the ninth Star Wars: Unlimited set. It introduces Fortify upgrades for bases, Beast tokens and Weakness tokens, alongside boosters and two separate prebuilt 50-card Spotlight Decks. Chewbacca’s deck focuses on offense; Grand Moff Tarkin’s uses Fortify upgrades while building toward the Death Star.
Scheduled US retail launch: Friday, October 9, following the October 2 prerelease. Fantasy Flight Games reports supply delays and possible limited local stock.

Stephen King and Peter Straub — Other Worlds Than These
The final Talisman novel follows Jack Sawyer as infected teenagers and a threat at the edge of Mid-World draw him into another journey. It follows The Talisman and Black House; this hardcover includes 36 black-and-white illustrations by Gabriel Rodríguez.

Cameron Winter — Live at Carnegie Hall
Live at Carnegie Hall records Cameron Winter’s December 2025 concert, performed alone at the piano. The album includes reworked songs from his debut Heavy Metal and three previously unreleased compositions. Its 12-track listing includes “Love Takes Miles,” “Drinking Age” and “Vines.”

Legends & Lattes: The Graphic Novel
Viv, an orc retiring from a life of combat, sets out to open the first coffee shop in Thune. Old rivals and a city unfamiliar with coffee complicate the plan. Travis Baldree’s novel becomes a full-color graphic adaptation by Samuel Sattin, illustrated by Shanti Rittgers and Sarah Webb.
